Mr Carlyle
McFarland
Born, raised and educated in Lucknow, Mr McFarland is an alumnus of La Martiniere College and holds degrees in English and Education from the University of Lucknow and Panjab University — graduating first in order of merit, with gold medals presented at a convocation addressed by former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
He served as Head of Department of English at Lucknow Christian College and was appointed Principal of La Martiniere College in 2011, serving until 2024. From 1980, for about 25 years, he achieved legendary status in Lucknow as a teacher of English — preparing students from school level to post-graduation.
In 2026, Mr McFarland returns to active teaching through CLAT Possible, bringing decades of experience to a new generation of students.

The first year of the two-year ISC journey. Covers the Year 11 Literature syllabus in full alongside the common Language course — building a strong foundation for the examination.
Year 12 English Literature & Language
The culminating year with the separate Year 12 Literature sections plus the Language course. Focused on examination preparation, higher-order thinking, and essay writing.
CUET Paper 1 — English Classes
Dedicated preparation for CUET Paper 1 (English) conducted personally by Mr McFarland — covering all tested components with targeted practice.
CUET English Mock Tests
Full-length CUET Paper 1 mock tests with analysis and feedback — calibrated to the actual examination pattern to build confidence and accuracy.
